Chef and owner, Katie Baas, started Lucky Star Catering as a means to express her love for creating hand crafted, from scratch, locally sourced food for her clients.

  Katie's food harkens to her southern & midwestern roots…familiar, comfortable fare inspired by the pastoral offerings and traditions of the Green Mountains.

At the core of Lucky Star, the belief is simple: the most memorable events are those that leave the guests feeling like they never want the celebration to end…full of beautiful food, surrounded by joyful camaraderie and reveling in the bliss of Lucky Star “Food Love”.

Lucky Star is committed to using ingredients sourced as locally as possible…our meats are always responsibly sourced: all natural, humanely raised and VT pastured whenever possible. Our menus are seasonally inspired, and we are lucky to have access to a multitude of local farms that supply us with beautiful, fresh produce almost all year long.  

 As a final disclaimer, Lucky Star is not responsible or available for any alcoholic beverage services (purchase, set-up or service) as we are not a state licensed provider. However, we work hand in hand with our partners at Hogback Mountain Brewing to connect you with fresh hyper-local beer, wine & cider for your special event!
